At 23:592023 on December 18, a 6.2-magnitude earthquake struck Jishishan County, Linxia Prefecture, Gansu province, at a depth of 10km, on the 19th, two earthquakes of magnitude 4 occurred.

An analysis of the ionospheric electromagnetic field, plasma, high-energy particles and infrared hyperspectroscopy was carried out by the National Institute for Natural Disaster Prevention and control under the Ministry of Emergency Management, based on observations by the Zhang Heng I satellite, AIRS satellite and ground-based observations, one of the magnetic data in the day before the earthquake (December 17) in the western direction of the epicenter of the magnetic disturbance phenomenon, may be related to the Gansu earthquake. In addition, the ESA Swarm satellite in orbit during the same period detected an anomalous magnetic field disturbance at the same location on the same day, which was a conjugate disturbance.
