The second phase of the Asia-Pacific Space Cooperation Organization earthquake research project has passed the detailed design review

From July 20 to 23,2020, the Asia-Pacific Space Cooperation Organization (APSCO) Asia-Pacific Space Cooperation Organization, the APSCO Earthquake Research Project Phase II: Integrating Satellite and Ground Observations for Earthquake Signatures and Precursors: The Critical Design Review (CDR) Conference and technical training through online meetings.
Manop AORPIMAI, Asia-Pacific Space Cooperation Organization minister, Ferhat Fikri, Deputy Minister, Sun Qing, Minister of Administration and finance, and Xiong Muzi, project manager, organised the online CDR Conference and training, the meeting and technical training were chaired by Minister Manop Opimay and Deputy Minister Fahat Feckley ozellen, respectively. The Asia-Pacific Space Cooperation Organization countries Bangladesh, China, Iran, Mongolia, Pakistan, Peru, Thailand and Turkey are represented by two or four members.
 Shen Xuhui, China Earthquake Administration of the Institute of Crustal Stress, and Ze Renzhima and Huang Jianping participated in the CDR defense meeting on behalf of China and the project sponsors. Shen Xuhui delivered the opening speech on behalf of the Institute of crustal research, introducing the construction of the seismic ionospheric observation application platform (Soap) Asia-Pacific Space Cooperation Organization at the Institute and the follow-up of the electromagnetic satellite programme, experts from member states are welcome to visit the centre.
The project leader, Dr. Ze Renzhima, reported the research progress of the whole project, including the magnetometer site selection and erection in member countries Deputy researcher Cui Jing read out the data sharing policy, the member states on the sharing provisions one by one review. The representative of the project team accepted the questions from the representatives of member countries on various documents and technical indicators of the CDR node, and passed the CDR node review smoothly.
The training on the use of Zhang Heng 1 electromagnetic field data and plasma in situ probe data, which was one of the agendas of the CDR Defense Conference, also received active participation and unanimous praise from participants from all member states. Dr. Yang Yanyan, Dr. Ouyang Xinyan and Dr. Wang Qiao introduced the methods of data processing and sharing of high precision magnetometer, electric field meter and induction magnetometer Dr Su Fanfan of Hubei Seismological Bureau, Dr Yan Rui of the Institute of crustal research and Dr Zhang Zhenxia of the Institute of crustal research introduced the use of data processing and sharing products of occultation receiver, Langmuir probe and high energy particle detector respectively. After introducing data usage, crustal chuwei and Lu Heng demonstrate the registration, data download and platform usage of SOAP platform.
The representatives of the Member States expressed their great satisfaction with the current progress of the project. At the closing ceremony of the meeting, APSCO expressed its great affirmation of the results of the second phase of the project undertaken by the Earth's crust, thanks were expressed to member states for their active participation in the project and the main points of work to be carried out in the next phase of the project were implemented.
